True, however there are independent statements and observations by people not involved with the incident which strongly corroborate the "accused." Barring some Perry Mason forensic evidence or confession, Nifong should do as they do in the Bible and "saddle his ass and depart."

Maybe we need to form anti-lynching societies, just as blacks did when so many lynchings of blacks occurred, to defend at least potentially innocent whites. If these young men were black they would be treated with kid gloves; if the victim was a male this case would be laughed out of court. DNA tests have failed to connect these boys to this alleged crime; yet their mug shots are plastered in the media as if they've already been found guilty-where's the photo of the alleged victim?
This case is proving that Americans are too sensitive when it comes to matters of race and sex. Liberal black leaders and feminists understand this and are exploiting this weakness for political gain. This situation calls for calm and reflective scrutiny. Thus far, the only thing these young men are guilty of is hiring a black stripper while white. The reputations and lives of these boys and their families are being destroyed partly because of the students' own poor judgment, but primarily because of the double standard society uses in dealing with incidents involving race and gender."

Nifong is a wet dream for any defense lawyer who wants to argue that their client can't get a fair trial. And he pretty much threw open wide the doors to let this trial be tried in the media rather than in court.
He may not be quite as incompetant as the Eagle, CO DA but he's pretty damned close. At least he hasn't posted confidential information on the internet - yet.

I don't care what political party this man belongs to, his behavior in this case shows me he should NOT be elected to office. People's lives are at stake and that is nothing to be treated lightly, as he is doing. Get the facts & evidence first, THEN prosecute.
