The CIA leak was a woman who worked in the Internal Affairs department of the CIA. Those are the CIA cops who are supposed to catch leakers. MS McCarthy got her job in the CIA during the CLINTON administration. We apparently had a cop who was breaking the law by leaking.

I am only guessing but I think Porter Goss has set up a a sting operation. I think they floated a document that they knew would be leaked and floated it by some suspected leakers having first got some friendly judge to issue the right phone taps.

I note that the story on the dismissal says McCarthy failed a lie detector test. Perhaps she did. But why was this fact leaked as justification.

I think she did flunk a routine random lie detector check but I becha they knew it was her before they sprang the lie detector test.

If I were a CIA leaker I would be very careful in the future.. they may never know who is being tapped and bugged.

Come to think of it if I were going to friendly judge I would not ask to tap the CIA, I would ask to tap the reporters who report on the CIA and foreign policy.

I wonder how many media poeple are afraid of who is listening to their communications tonight.
