I didn't hear anything new on Abrams. Dan reflected our wonderment that the searches followed the arrests, instead of the opposite. Finnerty's lawyer in a brief clip indicated he had a chance to speak to Nifong before the arrest, but didn't get anywhere with him. Susan is still in the group that thinks Nifong has more than he's showing.
One thing Susan said bothered me because I'm beginning to hear it said often - that the accuser at some point may feel the "pressure is just so much she can't appear as a witness" and Nifong may drop the case. I hope the arrested guys will have some way of proving their innocence if that happens, but I'm not sure what venue, other than a trial. would provide the opportunity.
What looks better for the media....a race riot or little rich kids behind bars because they supposedly attacked a black stripper. Are these boys that desparate....me thinks not.
