"Anyone hear Jesse Jackson talking about how white men have a fantasy about black women, which goes back to slave days? "
It's kind of sad for the black women of the world, but even black men don't seem to want (or at least marry) black women. The vast majority of black women can't find husbands.
You often see white women with black men, but almost never see the reverse.
I'm not saying this to be mean. Like I said, it's sad.
There are many reasons. One of them is many black women do better then black men financially, since many black men are either in jail or on parole. It's a tragedy that many black men don't want the many good black women there are. The ironic thing is the out of wedlock birthrate for blacks was MUCH less in the days of Jim Crow than it is now. That said, there are many middle-class black families I see when eating out with my family (nice places for holdiays). One time I was kind of shocked, since I was still a liberal, and thought it odd (since I believed that blacks were still being "held back"). Contrary to what Mr Jackson says, many blacks are doing well. Not all, but it's a much different world from the 50s or 60s.
