Sorry I wasn't more clear.
The envelope would tie a person to that room. They were looking for something in that room to link him to the alleged rape.
The fact that he receives mail in that room is significant.
I doubt the school gives utility bills which could be found there that would link him to that room.

It looks like they were looking for much, but came away empty handed, except for a news article and envelope. So Finnerty's room had been cleaned out earlier. Can LE then get search warrants for his parents' home in NY? How far will the maniacal DA go?
