I do remember an active participant in these threads (a person who is no fool) making a strong case a while back that the "cotton picking" remark was not "racist." I compare that with Holocaust denial.
Most all of us despise Tawana/Sharpton, etc. This event cleary has some similarities. But it is not that event. It is a different event with its own set of facts and circumstances.
IMO, there have been a lot of comments which have been, at best, premature, and, at worst, as biased as anything coming from the other side.
