I think the cabbie already said he couldn't recognize them. That doesn't mean he won't magically remember, though, but he seems like a straight and honest guy SO FAR.

I believe the cab driver described them pretty well and besides the phone calls, there should be a time stamped photo at the ATM, probably at the place they ate and at the dorm. Not only that, sometimes voice recognition is a stronger identifier and he said they were talking in the cab.
