The victim, a single mom who turned to exotic dancing to support her two kids, attends North Carolina Central University, a mostly black college in Durham.
She plans to keep a low profile until the students go on trial to avoid inflaming tensions in the black community, where opinion is running heavily against the privileged students.
One of the most hurtful things for the woman about the media circus surrounding the case, the cousin said, is the tendency to assume the worst about her because she is a stripper.
"She's a victim and she's a human being," the cousin said. "Her occupation couldn't justify that a crime like this was committed."

Does anyone know why the agency sent the "wrong order" to the team? If they had been sent other strippers, the ones they wanted, I doubt they'd be in this situation.
To: Howlin
You, know it's interesting to look closely at that photo of the girl standing at the back door, the one from further away.
These guys are massive slobs. There is junk laying out all over the yard and a rug draped over the top railing.
Now look at the second step. Looks like a jumble of rags left on the second step, and a beer can on the third.
The accuser, walking on only one high heel and one bare foot, must have taken one step onto that second step and trying to balance everything she was carrying and perhaps even talking on her cell phone (unclear from photo) tumbled head first down those steps, causing injuries.

I think that's a great point... She's obviously preoccupied looking through her bags for something... cell phone is my guess or money...
I wonder why we don't have the picture of her talking on the phone and her stumbling... Must be some tactic...
I think the guy taking the pics knowns the whole story... she fell or was pushed and caused her to go double dingy... and the guys hurried her out to the car to get her the hell out of there...
That's also my guess about where the "just a stripper" comments fits...

"Slip n fall" ambulance chaser would have a good case here. Maybe the guys were worried about that.
To: BossLady
Then according to that "logic"--shouldn't their "clients" be commended for providing a good living for them? But of course in the world of these radical feminazis it doesn't--women=good, men=evil.
To: SirJohnBarleycorn
And I think the "it's only $100" comment is from someone trying to convince someone else not to go after the girls to get their money back... Someone else was heard saying... "they're leaving with our money"...
so instead of going after the money, they just went out and started a cuss fight with the girls as they were leaving... kim got pissed and called the cops right after she drove away... and the rest is history...

and the guys hurried her out to the car to get her the hell out of there...Except that they let her just lay there on the ground apparently unconscious for 7 minutes, continuing to take photos of her. Why would that be? Were they so pissed at her that no one was willing to help her until finally someone stepped up? Were they just enjoying laughing at the stupid stripper sprawled out on the ground for 7 minutes?
In fact it's not until 12:41 that someone carries her to the car.
Maybe Kim got tired of waiting in the car and at 12:40 walked around back to see what the holdup was. She saw the stripper lying there passed out sprawled on the ground (thinking drunk, not injured) and the guys standing around laughing at her and became supremely pissed off, starts yelling her head off. Someone steps forward at that point and carries the accuser to the car.
To: OakOak
Yeah saw that, but am very skeptical. Sounds like a joke to me. The natural thing would be for Kim to go through her lawyer to make contacts for that.
To: darbymcgill
Someone else was heard saying... "they're leaving with our money"..Okay I missed that part - did you read that in a news article or was that on a cable show?
To: SirJohnBarleycorn
I didn't know it was known .. Thought it was new info..
She may have been seeing if someone connected to BET could get her a better deal. If she got a better deal, she'd dump that lawyer in a heartbeat. She can always get another lawyer.

Good questions... I'll have to go review the time stamps on the pics not yet released... I still can't figure out why not... but you're right 7 minutes really is a long time to leave her there...
I think the cell phone records are going to be very interesting, from both the boys and the girls... That interval from 12:04 til 12:20 ish and the interval from 12:30 to 12:53... what other calls were made and to whom...
plus they must know who took the pics, I wonder what his story is about how she fell and who picked up all her stuff and took it inside...
After hearing from the cabbie and others about how agressive Kim was that night between the slap and the cuss fight in front of the house... I'm betting dollars to donuts she ripped of the AV and is up to her eyeballs in no good...

I don't watch the cable shows anymore... It embarasses me sitting in my on home to watch grown adults make fools of the mselves night after night.
I've read so many lately, I'll try to run it down...

You and OakOak have the same theory as to the 2d dancer being a thief.
I still don't feel like I have a good handle on whether the guys paid the $800 up front (which I would expect) and then took the money back or let the gals run off with it, or if they didn't pay up front and maybe never paid at all, or maybe only paid $100.
If there is a good source for the neighbor overhearing "they're leaving with our money" then that would tend to strongly support the idea the guys paid up front and never got their money back. Maybe the guys split it 8 ways, and one was consoling the other on his lost $100.
The accuser first told police that they stole $2000 from her according to the very first police report, and then later must have changed that story to they stole $400 from her because that was the story in the later, first search warrant affidavit.
So if the guys did pay the $800, each one had $400, the gentleman who put the accuser in the car put her purse in there too but not her makeup kit or cellphone which he overlooked in the yard, and then Kim took the $400 out of her purse when she noticed the accuser was out of it. That would explain trying to dump her at Kroger, and if the accuser or her pimp called up a day or two later to ask about the $400, Kim has the perfect response: the guy who put her in the car must have taken it out of her purse.

Someone else was heard saying... "they're leaving with our money"..
I found a reference to it
here but I'm sure I read it directly from the neighbor's quote somewhere...

Obviously things went downhill from 12:04.. Either they quit and the guys said we ain't paying or they grabbed a purse and took the money back... The girls (preusmably) dashed to the BR and began threatening to call the cops or their pimp or whatever.. So the guys start shoving the money they took under the door to get them to leave...
I think between the two of them, the girls got their money... maybe Kim thought the AV was drunk and couldn't perform and she hadn't got the tips she normally would expect so she just took all the money.... then began making up stories..

If ever a case needed a Henry Fonda/Juror #8 ("Twelve Angry Men"), this one does.
To: OakOak
good catch...
And I guess she didn't deny sending the email either did she?
If they quit dancing at 12:04, got dressed, left the house then had to be talked into coming back in... that must have taken at least 10 minutes... that gets us to 12:15 or so, she and the AV are back in the car before 12:30, because the AV had to remember she forgot her shoe and was on the back porch at 12:30...
There just ain't enought minutes left over for a 30 minute rape, sodomy, kick, choke and redress....
