I understand what you're saying. I would be an absolute idiot if I thought my kid would spend 4 years in college with his head buried in a book. The administration punished the entire team for the SUPPOSED actions of 3, without any evidence. What about the kids in HS that already have signed letters of intent? FSU didn't punish the entire football team and pull them from the Orange Bowl when one of their players was accused of sexual assault. The administration and the DA haven't even begun to see the consequences of their stupidity and rush to judgement.

Apparently the team has a history of scrapes with the law; a story yesterday said that 1/3 of the team had been arrested for one thing or another, usually for minor stuff like public drunkenness and urination. I get the feeling that the team operated in kind of an "animal house" atmosphere. However, that doesn't mean the rape charges are true. I'm not necessarily defending the decision to drop the program, but trying to add a little more context to the decision.
