Apparently the team has a history of scrapes with the law; a story yesterday said that 1/3 of the team had been arrested for one thing or another, usually for minor stuff like public drunkenness and urination. I get the feeling that the team operated in kind of an "animal house" atmosphere. However, that doesn't mean the rape charges are true. I'm not necessarily defending the decision to drop the program, but trying to add a little more context to the decision.

1/3 is about 15 kids, I'm sure the Durham police get writers cramp on weekend nights from all of the tickets they write for drinking. It was easy to take this action because the NAACP, ACLU, etc could care less because they are PRIVILEGED WHITE BOYS.
