Coach K's ship is not any tighter run then the next ship. Go to a couple of Carolina & State student websites. They've got pictures to prove it. The difference is that Duke just wins a lot of basketball games.

I understand what you're saying. I would be an absolute idiot if I thought my kid would spend 4 years in college with his head buried in a book. The administration punished the entire team for the SUPPOSED actions of 3, without any evidence. What about the kids in HS that already have signed letters of intent? FSU didn't punish the entire football team and pull them from the Orange Bowl when one of their players was accused of sexual assault. The administration and the DA haven't even begun to see the consequences of their stupidity and rush to judgement.

"Coach K's ship is not any tighter run then the next ship."

Since big-time college athletics have long involved bringing in "student-athletes" who really aren't legitimate college students (who would not come close to qualifying if they weren't athletes), virtually any program in the country - in my opinion - has a whiff of illegitimacy about it. I think you have to go down to the lower divisions where athletic scholarships aren't offered to get back to something that resembles what college sports were originally intended to be.
