Legal experts:

Non-suspects can be forced to testify, no?

Does this have to wait for the trial or can they be forced to give depositions or otherwise answer investigators quesitons.

Any innocent kid who has knowledge of a serious crime would be a complete fool to risk a perjury wrap on the assumption that the "wall of silence" will hold.

If anything criminal went on there, some people know about it.

The defense lawyers can and should argue that all 46 players tested are suspects. This was another stupid move by Nifong. Until the other 44 (or 43 depending on if a 3rd id indicted) are cleared, why in the world would they say anything to the police w/out representation?

I'll also suggest that if anything criminal went on there, the players would have said so and the accused would say the sex was consensual.

I appreciate your playing Devil's Advocate. Sadly for the prosecution, I think you are pretty much giving it Nifong's best shot as well.
