Breaking overnight from Chris Cummo at ABC GMA:
Case against at least one Duke defemdant unraveling fast.
Defendant Seiligman went to bank ATM while rape supposedly happening.
12:02 Time stamped photos show girl arriving. Girl leaves, comes back, call friends on cell phone does other things. 12:19 Seiligman calls cab dispatcher 12:24 Seiligman takes cab to bank miles away, uses ATM card (photos show it is him.) 12:42 after walking back to dorm, Seiligman uses security card to enter dorm. Does not leave.
Also, Seiligman was never interviewed by cops. DA seeking reelection simply took "Dancers" word that he raped her.
This REALLY pisses me off. Because I think the guys are guilty?
No.
Because if this is true, then the boys (who I believe did not do the
things the accuser claimed) are going to be DENIED a chance to
totally refute this baseless charge.
If the DA screwed this thing up so bad and the identification gets
thrown out on something that the pots and pans brigade can
rightfully claim is a "technicality," those boys are going to be
stained for life.
I really wish I were registered as a Democrat right now so I could
vote against this joker in the primary.
I've said all along the ID won't stick. But I thought the ID would be no good because of their team roster being publiched and plastered all over. This really is a modern-day lynching. This is even worse. There is no way that this photo line-up was lawful. She should have been given 46 panels of photos to look at.
And this information now is causing me to be even more concerned about the hair sample that was taken for comparison to a hair supposedly found on her. That should have been typed as part of the DNA testing done on the rape kit samples. This is coming from left field to be doing it now and it really concerns me that evidence is being planted, a theory I have never given credence to in other cases. The forays into the dorms concern me in this respect, too.
Does anybody have anymore detail about this hair sample testing?
I don't have more information about the hair testing, but given that Crystal was in the bathroom, it's a given that her clothing would pick up some of the hair on the floor.
Jezebelle - A neighbor told me today she heard that Kim said she was never in that bathroom with Crystal and that she doesn't know where Crystal was for 20 minutes. Have you heard that.

ahhh....DA is waiting for 2nd DNA test to issue next indictment....if the DNA proves what he thinks it will. But it won't happen til the next GJ.

The foray into the dorm rooms raises red flags for me. Supposedly, the one kid has left town. I would think he took his computer with him. So, why were the investigators there? Plant a hair here or there?
Her clothing wouldn't pick up hair from the floor. What has been stated elsewhere at FR that they are supposedly testing a pubic hair found on her. But that should have been done when the rape kit was processed. What I'm saying is is that the hair that was supposedly found on her is only now being tested and that the two in custody had to give hair samples. My concern is that the hair found on her should have already been tested so that any hair taken from the two boys would be compared to an established DNA profile. Otherwise, there's nothing to stop the cops from planting the samples taken from the boys as the original exemplar supposedly found on Mangum. I cannot believe the defense attorneys would stand for this.

Kim's story is changing as we type ... that's the impression I got from Megyn Kendall on FNC, with Brit.
The defense will do their own testing. It's expensive, but it will have to be done.
Oh, and I see what you're saying about a plant. At this point, they've broken so many laws, what's a few more?

I guess we know now why Durham PD is using such professional techniques as lurking outside a dorm and then darting in behind someone with an access card.
Great story. Grant has obviously worked hard to get his money. Too bad his ankle went to hell. I'm hearing he is considering yet another surgery. Most would have taken the guaranteed money and quit about 4 surgeries ago.
