Worst? I don't honestly remember. there is a bar on 2nd street(?) on teh south side of Milwaukee called Zur Krone which has cases and cases of foreign beers. The owner relocated from Munich and it's a huge German hangout. Well anyway We were drinking liter mugs of some dark beer (Not quite Guiness dark but far darker than I was used to). Tasted good going down. But I was sick all the way home (riding the bus yet) and for days afterwards.
Beer Ping!!!
Sing with me.
I like beer, it makes me a jolly good fellow, I like beer. It helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow.
I still drink Genny.I go for quantity not so much quality.
As for a favorite,Miller was the popular beer around here 25 years ago and still like it better than most.
I saw. There is a market for my recycled beer, apparently.
That is so funny!!!! How did I miss this thread!!!
I beg to differ. I live in Phoenix.
For the uninitiated, you know how bottles of tequila have that worm in the bottom?
Cave Creek Chili Beer has a chili pepper in the bottle. The oils leach into the beer so the beer is hot like a pepper. You chase a swig of the chili beer with an ordinary beer.
The motto is "Lime is for wimps" and the accompanying logo is the letters "NFL" (no f***ing lime) and a line with a red bar through it.
Cheers! Full Disclosure: I'll post my preferences later in the thread.

Grey_whisker's Corollary:
Hangovers are proof that we live in a fallen world.
Best Beers: Kirin Ichiban, Mississippi Mud, 1554 Belgian Style Ale
Worst Beers: Hazed and Infused, 3 Horses or BrouCzech (their slogan ought to be "made with defiled water"), Thomas Hardy Ale (just drink a pitcher of yeast), Nimbus Pale Ale, Arrogant Bastard Ale.
Honorable Mention: Kronenbourg (good), Leinenkugel (good), Samuel Adams (Good), Pumpkin Ale by Buffalo Bill's Brewery.
All Time Best: !! Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock, Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout (on a winter day with chili !)
Cheers!
Excellent all around references. LOL!
LOL!
Well, grey, you and I will differ on this issue for certain. Admittedly I'm not a big chili fan, but I do enjoy hot foods, mustard root, horseradish, etc. But in this case, yuuuuuchh!
It's one of the few beers that actually taste good. Beers like Budweiser and Miller have too much strong aftertaste, in my humble opinion.
Beer wuss. ; )
"Just avoid Strohs. The beer farts are unbearable."
Genesse Cream ale actually takes that award, along with the infamous "Genny Screamers"
I was young and inexperienced. Never had that dark German stuff before. I wsn't drunk but still threw up all the way home. Man was I sick.
There's no worse feeling than riding the bus home and knowing that you have to get off every few blocks to purge. It took a long time to get home.
Well geez sherlock, aren't they all? :P
"Genny Screamers" refers to the screaming speed at which you must run to the john, the scream of pain as your bowels evacuate until it seems your tonsils and sinuses are enroute, and the scream of the next person to enter the john when the wall of aroma strikes them.
All of the above entertainment is caused by consuming copius quantities of Genesse Cream Ale. It is something everyone should live once
Thank you madman, I'm sure that knowledge will come in handy someday! FReeper men sure are smart (and plenty gross!) :P
Didn't mean to be gross-just trying to encapsulate the experience so that people are properly warned. Just one of the many services I provide:)
My advice would be to avoid Genny Cream Ale at all costs
Yes!! One of my favorites. Bass is my favorite camping/hunting beer. It's great around the campfire.
