I still say this is the most bone-headed move CBS could make. Disregarding her politics, Couric is not an anchor-type person. Her voice is too high-pitched, plus she does NOT look attractive when she isn't smiling. She is not going to be credible to the few CBS viewers left (mostly older generation) who are used to men in the spot, and I don't think putting on her "serious glasses" will even help her.

Dittos on EVER watching Couric at this house.
Her habit of "some people say" as an intro to trashing Republicans and President Bush will NOT wash in reporting the news.
Her new position enables her to choose what is reported, and the public, at least those who watch CBS...will undoubtedly be showered w/Hillary for president "news".

GOOD A.M. HHONORABLE CHAIR, ALL, FROM THE SUNNY, HOT, MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, BRUISED BUT NOT BROKEN!!!!
PROGRESS HERE! The breaches are open now in some sections BUT don't go into the water because of the junk on the bottom of the gulf. lots of metal, cars, motors, houses, you name it, it is there.
ASPRIN. Think about it, WHAT IF is had just been developed, what would a bottle of 50 cost you. say about 100 bucks or more? It is used for everything when it comes to sickness, being a heart problem, to take to PREVENT a heart problem to name a couple. It is the miracle drug of all times and it is over the counter. The med fiolks sure missed this one didn't they.
GIVE ME YOU TIRED, WORN OUT, SICK, PREGNANT. KILLER, DOPE DEALING. LAZY, WE DON'T NEED YOU BUT THE 'ELECTED OFFICIALS IN WASHINGTON DOES, you are a future voter and, you don't have to do anything but cross the border and be a 'uninvited' guest' AND VOTE. Sick, sick, sick, not only the uninvited but THE ELECTED OFFICIALS (?) who will listen to no one but their little click. In other words, TO HELL WITH US, THE AMERICAN CITIZEN! doesn't do any good in calling them cause WE are just a unimportant little citizen, a dumb, unimportant no nothing little citizen EXCEPT when WE go into the voting booth but I am from the old school, I don't forget easy. Sure, they THINK we will get over it and forget all about this but here is one who will NOT and I am watching Cochran and Lott AND Rep Gene Taylor closely, Needless to say, I AM HACKED (being nice)...I think we ALL should tell them to 'get their act together' or come home and live on their retirement (Which is a LOT). Grrrrrrr (all I need to say).
Talked to Allie last night, she is having a blast at Disney world. Talked to SIL too, they were in a line of about 60,000 folks trying to get out at closing time and all holding on to each other, THIS is why I didn't take them up on their invitation to go with them.
WE NEED RAIN BAD!!!! My rain dances are NOT working.
Time to go and feed the 'girls' and ole Bill IF he is nice which is not to often now, living up to his name for sure.
All have a good day, a safe one and, a loving one.
Toby

Checking in late, but wanted to thank you for the Couric ban.
I'm hoping that Perky Kathy will be just as successful as Connie Chung.
