At http://www.no-lobbyists-as-such.com/florian-mueller-blog/ballmer-linux/ we're reminded that Microsoft wants Linux dead. Ballmer is once again making noise about patents.
Unfortunately, Microsoft likely does have patents it could use against Linux. IBM can probably be replied upon to fight back on the side of Linux with its own patents - supposedly they've called Microsoft patent bluffs in the past just by pointing out that they also have stacks of patents and idle lawyers ready to look for violations by Windows code. However, Microsoft might now be willing to risk the battle.
Microsoft is not in a happy place right now. Vista is delayed, and both Apple and Linux are gnawing at its toes. The increasing interest in virtualization and particularly in package/OS bundling like VMware Player is a bumpy road for Microsoft because of OS licensing. Microsoft doesn't want its OS sales pirated, but it doesn't want to miss out on that market either. Linux apps can be shipped with a free OS; Microsoft apps cannot.

LOL. the commies claim they invented linux.
The point is that some people still don't grasp it after having it drilled into their skulls.
They sure are using it. As are all socialists and leftists.

For the last time: I was not talking about shipments, I was talking about deployments!
That's the funniest thing I've seen on FR in a long long time.
Laugh all you want, I remember around the 96 election because of all the acrimony between the Dole and Kemp people, it was constant. So I made a mistake, I admitted it, these liars never admit anything, they just lie more just like we just saw n3wbi3 do again.
They also allow Lilliputian patent trolls - little companies that do nothing but buy patents but who don't manufacture or license for manufacture - to hold up big companies when they buy up dubious patents and demand large settlements with a threat of infringement. For example, Research-in-Motion and NTP.
Those links are useless because you don't link to the POST(S) where you claim a lie or lies were stated, only the general thread. You need to be more specific.
That's not a contradiction.
hey sure are using it. As are all socialists and leftists."
I'll bet all socialists and leftists use refrigerators too.
I bet some of them drive Fords and Chevys.
I'll even bet that some of them use Windows.
I said "around 95", being around 10 years ago and the clinton thing, didn't miss by much anyway since I just lurked back then anyway. Didn't have all these liars to have to deal with, this site was full of hard core Americans and was super cool back then. Too bad it'll never be like that again, anywhere, with all the foreigners connecting to the US over the internet now. But other than all the open source and pirateware freaks this is still one of the best sites out there.
You don't offer proof of any lies. You have long lists of thread links. To proof your contentions, you have to go to the specific posts.
That in itself is its own kind of lying, and you do it on almost every thread.
You have become a laughingstock.
FR wasn't around until Sep. 1996, and the forums didn't come into existence until early 1997.
So, saying "around 95" is like saying the two atom bombs ending World War II hit "around Tokyo"
Flaming Death~Here's another keeper...
That's from his list already. At the end.
I really don't care if you go look or not, the lies are there and I expect those threads will be as well for a very long time.
Several of those entire threads were BS articles to begin with, Dell is selling Linux on their home desktop computers (LIE), IBM is switching internally to Linux (LIE), Google is releasing a version of Linux (LIE), who knows what else and all those were just in the last couple of months. The lies have been endless, and only a liar would claim otherwise.
Dell is selling Linux on their home desktop computers (LIE), IBM is switching internally to Linux (LIE), Google is releasing a version of Linux (LIE)...
You have not proven these three examples were not lies, only that they were false. A lie is an intentional falsehood. Have you any proof that any of these three items were intentionally falsified?
You have not proven these three examples were not lies...
Should be:
You have not proven these three examples were lies...
Yes, most if not all of the BS posted is from foreign rumor sites, when most all of the past lies have been exposed as well. This is nothing new. These lies have been going on the last couple of years, when the discussion needs to be on the fact that every communist country is standardizing on "open source" though anyway. That's the educated discussion, not all these constant lies.
