AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1900) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 6, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 04/05/2006 5:05:35 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security was arrested in a sting operation by a detective posing as a 14-year-old girl. Part of the charges involve asking for explicit photos from a real 14-year-old gal.

Massachusetts is preparing to offer universal health insurance.

An active hurricane season is being predicted.

And an Indian director hopes to cast Paris Hilton in a movie as Mother Theresa.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Delay said ol' McKinney was a RACIST. He has great respect for the Capitol Police. A few years ago, two of them, who were assigned to him, were shot in his office protecting him and his staff. He has no use for those who disrespect them. Said he would file a formal complaint if no one else did.

Hi! I have been gone all day. My teacher sister and I went to a downtown antique mall and spent a couple of hours, then went to the BEST Jewish deli in the Midwest for lunch of corned beef on rye, then to the White River Gardens to see them in early spring. (We were there last August but it was too hot, plus we saw no bulbs or early spring flowers.)

GREAT display of Hellebore(Lenten rose) which I have never planted because it doesn't look that great in the catalogue. The garden had a mass planting in a shade garden under a deciduous tree, and they were absolutely beautiful...lush green leaves and blooms in yellow, peach and white. I am absolutely going to put some in this year. I also got a couple of ideas on bulb plantings and shrubs.

Boy, am I tired! We did a LOT of walking today! Early bedtime for me tonight.

Oh, and our mowers mowed today, and the yard looks great....like Ireland!

Off to check the news!

I heard DeLay repeat those thoughts this morning on F & F. This could really get interesting as he prepares for departure.

Speaking of departure, I am going to take mine until tomorrow morning.

Just came back from neighborhood store. Dried morel mushrooms are $12.99 per OUNCE. Today they didn't have fresh - are they out of season?

I PT at 0400 CST, hit the office by about 0600, and leave about 1400, no lunch. Go to sleep anywhere from 1900 to 0100.

Sleep is over-rated.

I've cooked with morels in the restaurants.... I've never seen fresh. We always revived them in wine, and then used the reduced wine for a sauce.

Oh, and I get up in the middle of the night and check in.

Four hours of uninterrupted sleep is an amazing thing to me.... I sleep like a baby.... I wake up every two hours crying or wanting to eat or smoke. 8>)

Grand jury convened in Cynthia McKinney case. Have we lost all sense in this country? Why on earth would we need a grand jury for this matter?

Rep. Hilda Solis (D)-California is introducing a bill in the House that calls for a commission to study the deportation and coerced emigration of Mexicans in the 30's. Some groups are pushing for reparations.

What kind of wine? IIRC, IG goes out and collects them around her farm and (stews in butter?) - sounded delicious.

Jane, thanks for the White Gardens report...my visit there in the spring of '03 was a delight...later in April, tho from yours but not by much...

Hot diggety! The Indians beat the White Sox in 11 innings to win the series. Am just so pleased with the way the Indians fought back after the disastrous Sunday opener.

This is really a church encouraging their members to protest the very people who have made it possible for this group of nincompoops to protest. If not for the military, these baptists will be speaking arab.

Red wine, burgundy, mostly. I don't like morels. I was just passing on my experience. They remind me of cutting piglets.

Federal assault on a Police Officer during the offical functions of his duty. It requires a GJ.

The information from a GJ is classified, and if anybody leaks, they go to jail.

I think it's a great thing. R's can keep their mouth shut. D's have to run off at the mouth. Unless the wild-eyed, wild-haired bi-otch makes a statement, there is another felony for any of her hanger's-on that want to comment.

It shows me that the Congress are a protected class and there are two levels of justice in this country. And the federal prosecutor doesn't want to make an unpopular decision so he'll let the grand jury decide.

A female staffer to a Republican witnessed the event and is testifying tomorrow; I'm sure she's terrified and we shouldn't put so much pressure on the "little" people. That prosecutor is paid to make the big decisions. For that matter, why didn't the Capital police just arrest her on the spot?

The Constitution doesn't allow for the arrest of 'representatives' when going or coming from voting. Period. She's got diplomatic immunity from arrest, except for felony charges. THAT is Constitutional.

After Congress, in Joint Session, convenes.... there's a possibility, but she can't be arrested if she's going to her mother-ship district.

The other Constitutional issue is whether she can be made to answer for words said 'in congress', and the bi-otch was past the doors. Actions are probably fair game. This will be a lawyer's hey-day.

Outrageous. I'm sick of them having practically diplomatic immunity. And they know it and use it.

Also, that horrible person has done this before and I'm convinced she's done it deliberately hoping that a white Capital policeman would make an issue and she could claim racism.

Well, yes. Since the beginning. Bastiches have used the no-arrest clause to get away with driving drunk (Sen. Johnson {D: Texas} Later to be a useless president). More recent is the old geezer that smacked into a car and made the troopers let him go. He's dead now, and that a Good Thing(tm).

I don't call them congress-critters because I love them.

Apologies to all sneaking, slimy, nasty critters out there that haven't been elected to an office.

As a representative of the people...ie.. a voter... On election day... Can you be arrested? If to-ing or fro-ing from an election site?

I know one municipality that didn't want to argue the point, when I went out of my way to make a point.

I hate it as well. And fight it wherever I can.

I don't know the answer to these issues. It's curious that DeLay could be arrested but McKinney couldn't. I understand, a little, about the Constitution, which protects Congress, but am flumoxed why some members of Congress have been arrested and others haven't. I know -- there's no easy answer.
