Oh, I guess I didn't miss it. Just turned on FNC and it's being carried live.
Does she say anything about being B-lack or serving in Vietnam?
Since that idiot woman claims that the police SHOULD recognize her, I feel they should install retina scanners. Her eyes can easily be recognized from afar.
To: Miss Marple I'm so sorry to hear how you feel about The DiVinci Code and, I am especially sorry, to hear that your sister has completely given up on her faith. I don't understand how people can be swayed by a novel. I've read most of Dan Brown's works - including The DiVinci Code and the book before that which is a precursor to TDC. They are just books, novels, stuff someone made up. There may be some history in them, but, as usual, the history part has been turned the way the author is going. Sad that reading for pleasure has interfered in someones religious life. 273 posted on 04/02/2006 7:49:50 PM EDT by jtill jtill, I wanted to respond to your remarks from yesterday. I agrre with you. When I asked my friend and Pastor aboutthe book, he said he had read it , but it was just a novel. Simple as taht... so hubby bought TDC for me, a companion reader, and the Angels and Demons book. I read them for pleasure and to be current on my reading. It by no means affected my faith. I find it sad that some would let it do so. HOB
Well, I'm not sure if what I saw was live or not now. There was a live caption on the screen, but FNC only showed about 30 seconds of her speech so I have a feeling the live press conference was earlier and they were just re-showing a snippet.
That's about 29 seconds too many for me.
I am in no way suggesting censosrship of his book, but I think speaking out about the errors in it are fine. Look at how many uneducated people believe Oliver Stone's movies!
You've got a good point, Janey. I concede... It's such ashame to me that people don't read more often to learn about history so they can easily discern fact from fiction!
I'm off.....will try to check in later

Along with the "crazier than usual look in her eye", her hair faced all coners of the compass. That looked goofy too.
Howdy All. We survived Roomey's 50th Hi School Reunion. It was so much fun. Everyone had so much fun, they've planned the next reunion for two years hence, in Fredricksburg, which is not too far from here.
Trashy is as trashy does. And the clintoons are trash." Touche'. AND so ill-mannered and phony.
Hi, Carolina. I read the book and found it mildly entertaining. The book I read was the special illustrated edition and I especially enjoyed looking at the pictures as they related to the storyline. And that's all it was -- a story. It's so sad to me when I realize this has impacted peopled enough that it's affected their faith. And now I see a movie is being made which will further impact people.
Hi Peach, that's the edition I read also with great historical pictures. I think we allagree that this book was a novel, a story. And that it is sad so many people will accept it as fact, jsut as they accept global warming, Clinton is great, McKinney is a wronged woman, no a racist herself, etc, etc, etc.
See you all tomorrow. I've gotta go.
Mine too.
