And the only three women left are Paris, the Gherkin and McPhee :-/

I like looking at McPhee, but ... shrug.

You forgot about Ace.

Actually, I think Bucky is still around because the mostly pre-teen and younger teenage girls who do most of the voting think he's cute. He is an attractive guy in an 'aw shucks' kind of way. Nice eyes, nice smile, straight guy, blonde pony tail, cowboy hat. Makes the young girls swoon.

First I guessed Ace then when they showed the bottom 3 I guessed Elliot, too. I am not good at guessing. LOL

But the cowboy hat saved him this week!

She's gone because she's fat.

More than anything, I think Mandisa's gone because she peformed below expectations two weeks in a row.

Absolutely. I knew from the outset Mandisa didn't have a hope of winning because of her weight. Our society is not very tolerant of truly obese people, but especially of such women.

Uh, can you say Reuben Studdard?

Didn't hurt Taylor one bit. Nor Chris last week.

That's because Lisa was still there and she was just phoning in her performances nearly every week. She was never in the running to win. The only question was if she would leave before or after Kevin. Now that most of the wheat has been sorted from the chaf a bad week is going to be deadly. Sure, a ton of fans might lessen the pain, but, the fans just might not be able to save ya at this point. jmo

And the only three women left

Yep. We thought from the beginning the guys were a little stronger than the girls this year. McPhee has been a big disappointment to me, because I have thought she has the best voice of the girls. But man, there is just no there, there.

Maybe they'll start weeding out the guys next week.

And he dances like Elaine on Seinfeld

You're right... I knew his moves reminded me of someone TV character!

Personality wise I understand he is a very modest, polite and affable guy. But, he has limited singing ability and he can't project his voice. He sounds like a bar singer and while that doesn't make him a bad guy, I don't see how it is that people could vote him as the next AI.

He gets the country girls vote, Ace gets the suburban mall chick vote.

Mandisa leaving will shake up the voting now. Do her people stop voting? Do they switch to Paris? Do they go Elliott? Will those votes keep Paris or Elliott out of the bottom three next week?

Very classy. There is a new AI knock-off show coming to cable, something to find the best Christian music singer. Maybe Mandisa can go and win that.

Really?? Oh, I would love that! I will have to check into that. Yes, I think Mandisa would be a great Christian Artist.

Thanks for the info!

Mandisa was better than Taylor though.

It's a popularity contest, nothing more. Tucker was a better singer than Bucky.

He and the other race hustlers are salivating over the chance to do one of their blackmail numbers on AI's increasingly rich little empire. They want a piece of that pie.

Oh I know. But they'll likely let Mandisa pass. She's too genuinely Christian for them--that makes Reverends Al and Jesse nervous :)

Uh, can you say Reuben Studdard?

Yes, but the dynamic of season 2 was very different than this season. And Reuben is an obese man. It does make a difference.

"She's gone because she's fat"

Bulloney. Don't play the "FAT" card. If that is true, how did she get this far?

Imagine what they'd say if there was a '24' thread

They probably laughed through the whole nerve gas episode. And Logan is based on Bush, don'tcha know!!! ;)

You're right about McPhee. She reminds me of a Stepford Wife. Rather robotic.....no soul.
