Yep. We thought from the beginning the guys were a little stronger than the girls this year. McPhee has been a big disappointment to me, because I have thought she has the best voice of the girls. But man, there is just no there, there.
Maybe they'll start weeding out the guys next week.
You're right about McPhee. She reminds me of a Stepford Wife. Rather robotic.....no soul.
I'm thinking about how gracefully Mandisa left the show tonight. When it's McPhee's turn, I think she'll scowl through her farewell song, maybe force a cold smile at the end. That will be it.
Katherine is kind of like LaToya London was - pretty, great voice, but doesn't connect emotionally with her audience and comes across as being "above it all". She's the best singer left, but I'll bet she doesn't make the final three.
Queen songs are very easy to perform in styles other than hard rock, so this should actually be a better week for everyone. Chris will probably revert to form and do a straightforward rock song like "Hammer to Fall". Katherine should sing "I Want it All"...LOL!
And whoever loses should sing "Another One Bites the Dust" as their final performance - even Simon would laugh. ;)
