I didn't like either.. I know he can do much better, wrong song choice..
To: retrokitten
Yep, that would have been the natural choice for Taylor.

Very safe song for taylor. He obviously feels he is not going to get voted off, and is biding his time before getting out the big guns. That is my take.

Seacrest: "Safe, boring and lazy--Simon's love life!"Bada bing! I supposed Seacrest should know now that he's dating Teri Hatcher. ;-)

If he was going to do 'nice' John Denver he could have done "Annie's Song". Wouldn't take much to give that a country edge. Of the JD catalog, I'd like to have heard Hicks sing "Wild Montana Skies".

::razz:: that was a clunker. Sorry, Taylor.
To: Lil'freeper
Taylor was awful but I'll still be voting for him - he's just not a country singer....and this song is NOT country! Kenny rogers however has been a super star for decades and in fact has a new song in billboard's top COUNTRY 40 right now...he's got lasting power (but then again, the dixie #itches have one in the top 40 and i heard it last night on o'r for the first time and it sucks....)....GO TAYLOR!

I'll still vote for him to avoid the Katherine factor from last week. Same here, this week i'll have to split by voting between the pickle and hicks... last week i mostly voted for the pickle because she needed the votes i thought.

Very safe song for taylor. He obviously feels he is not going to get voted off, and is biding his time before getting out the big guns. That is my take. He better not wait too long. This was the perfect opportunity for him to do 'Georgia on my mind'. When the other themes come around he could be in trouble. jmo
