I don't remember ever seeing an Idol reject sing on the Today Show before.Neither do I, although I'm trying to remember of that novelty act named William Hung made it to Katie's Korner (soon to be her former Korner as she runs off to cBS to make like a journalist).
Anyway, Pee Wee now goes on the minor D-list celebrity career track. Coming in the near future -- some scumbag lawyer takes his case as he tries to copyright "Chicken Little."

Even the Jesse Helms thread yesterday wasn't immune, sadly.

Ruben's project has been in the news here locally for a couple of weeks. There were many kids in the inner city that were excited about it. I hope it will take off and do well because I do believe Studdard is a good soul. He's been plagued with many who have taken advantage of his good nature. I always did love Ruben, I was one of "those" who voted for him over Clay. :) I have his cd. and love it. I just love his sound.

Was there any particular thread that made you feel this way today? No. I've been feeling this way for quite some time. I guess I'm just sorta burned out on it all -- for now, at least.

(soon to be her former Korner as she runs off to cBS to make like a journalist). Pfft. Katie will pick up the ratings for a couple weeks, but after the novelty wears off so will the viewers.
And not that I care, but I think she'll be miserable sitting behind that CBS desk. No more giggly celebrity interviews or cooking segments. Just news. Dull, boring, fabricated news :)

Jonny, more and more this thread is a refuge. I'm getting so I can't stomach politics or many of the topics posted on FR these days.
I agree. :(
To: Howlin
Hi Howlin. :) Ok, just so I can sound really dumb, but who is Duke Lacross?
To: silent_jonny
Just news. Dull, boring, fabricated newsGrin...with any luck she'll be the coup de grace for cBS news.

Understandable. Some good news though--a few of the "unappeasers" were suspended over the weekend. It won't change any thing, I guess, but at least I'm comforted to know that common sense (and decency) hasn't totally left FR.

It is. My other vice to get away from it all lately has been listening to Glenn Beck. He's not as nasty as others can be. Today he was so funny. He had people call in to take a test that they give to those who are trying to become legal citizens of the US. Quite pitiful how many out there don't know basic history facts. Some that called in didn't know why the flag had 13 stripes, what the law of the land was or who the President was during the Civil War. When they can't answer he gives them a fake answer and they will tend to believe him. LOL. His show starts today on CNN, I need to find out when.
To: silent_jonny
LOL!!!
Well I'm laughing at me. I just read that funny I guess, didn't think about the lacrosse team. Thought he was some new talk show host or something. Well, now that i'm embarrassed. :) I think I'll go eat supper. :)

Hmmmm...Jonny and Emily, do you think Carrie is starting to copy some of the Gherkin's dumb act? I came across this little piece on Pulse Music Board. The source, Great American Country, a leading website for the country music industry, is linked in the title:
CARRIE UNDERWOOD...INSURANCE RISK?When Carrie Underwood sings "Jesus, Take the Wheel," she isn't kidding! Carrie admits that her driving skills are "bad." She tells X Radio, "I am the worst driver on the face of the planet. Ive never had a wreck, knock on wood, but I do run into things quite often. Fences, parked vehicles, poles, just whatever. You name it. I run into it. So stay away," she laughs.

'Jay Walks' is One of my favorite Jay Leno segments. Just another reason for me to believe the media polls are a crock, when the average soul Beck, Jay and others ask these questions of are more clueless than an amoeba.
