Yea, I have some toys from coldsteel. Great, cheap, blades.....440C and Aus-8 isn't exactly rocket science.
No SH@t, what were you loaded with.....dove load? Every time I've seen a 12 gage go off, it obliterated the target, I guess you big bad cops just aren't equipped for PitBulls....
You mean "being owned by one." :^)
Janey thanks you for the compliment.
AWWWW! Boston terrors are great!
Exactly. We have people claiming...no kidding...I hit him 3 times with my .357, it took 9 more to put him down. My favorite is bozo with the 12 gauge...."First one hit him broad side and rolled him over. He got right up and started at me. Second shot was center chest and he dropped immediately."
I don't know what bozo loads his 12 gauge with but frankly, if I hit you, bozo or a dog with my Winchester 1300 , you will be dead....and most likely spread in small pieces across the lawn....
Every now and then a psycho JRT pops up, mostly (but not always) when they're owned by people who don't understand the breed. A JRT is not a lap dog - it is a hunting dog, and must be kept mentally stimulated. Also, they have extremely strong dominance instincts, and will be alpha dog or go nuts trying.
Treat them right, and you have smartest, most loyal, and most affectionate dog in the universe. The is a reason, though, that they're nicknamed Jack Russell Terrorists.
Don't be hatin'
It strange, Amstaff owners I know would say the same thing!
Being around both I am struck by the similarities between them.
A small dog doesn't fit my life style right now
but I can see as I get a bit older and slow down
that a JR would be a very desirable companion dog.
One thing JRs and Amstaffs seem to share is an uncanny ability to perceive precisely the time to lick to coincide with that off guarded moment when your mouth is open a crack.
I see someone didn't take his meds today....or maybe took to many.
We love our Boston!!!! Just the best natured dog. Very good with children (grand children) and loves to be the best lap dog ever!!! Wonderful breed. Your picture is so cute. Denco
Pitbulls - the muslims of the dog world.
Oops, I forgot: it's not he breed of dog...it's how the dog is raised.
Nope, who claimed that? Reread what I posted. If you're willing to pay for a copy of the report from the Animal Control office, I'll mail it to you.
That simile was slightly funny the first thousand times it was posted.
Now it just seems like the empty prattling of someone with no real contribution to make to the discussion.
Quoted from the Hong Kong Shar Pei club:
"The SP is a Chinese breed that through so much trouble, had finally established itself in the canine history. How can I turn around now and tell the whole world that fighting is not one of the quality and leave it out and not mention it in the breed standard. How would I be able to face my ancestors when I reach the other side?"
Yup, that's one dangerous lookin' critter. We better ban them, they were originally bred fer fightin'.
Another Pitbull attack!! I don't favor banning breeds any more than anyone else but this breed can go bezerk [sp?]at any time!
>I had a large dog (Briard), he told me not to tell him that!<
I'm glad you don't live near me! The Briards I know are nasty, snappish dog-aggressive animals.
Yeah! They are. It's an interesting breed though. They were decimated duringWW1 And WW2. Carrying meds and ammo to the front lines. All the dogs that I've been in contact with are like clones or robots. They all behave exactly the same because there were very few to re-creat the breed from. It's too bad because they're very smart. I'm sure that in the 18th century there was a wider variation in behavior. They are kinda hard to handle. They're good as guard dogs, and can really learn a lot of different commands.
My ex could never handle him though. It was kinda funny watchin' a gorgeous , tall, Irish redhead being towed around by this great dog. He saved my house from being robbed once, and I loved him very much.
But, still, he wasn't bred over centuries to be a tenacious fighter. And that's my problem with pit bulls.
