Hey all, I started up a Yahoo Freeper NCAA tournament league.
Sign up and play against other Freepers, and pick the winners in the year's NCAA Basketball tourney.
Go to fantasysports.yahoo.com, and click "sign up now". Then click "create or join group". Click "join existing group", and finally "join private group".
The info you'll need:
Group ID#: 86007
Password: jimrob
Group name: freepers
Join up, have fun. No prizes, apart from personal glory. :)
Get your girlfriend/wife to pick. They always win anyway using the "cute mascot" system.
Doesn't help that so many teams have cat mascots.
Thanks, not a big B-ball fan until tourney time. Although I can tolerate the College game far more than the Pros.
This is the time of year I hate. Nothing on but B-ball and it sucks.
I played basketball in HS, but I hate to watch it.
I've submitted my entry. I'm also setting up a FReeper group on the ESPN Tournament Challenge. I'll post the information on that one to you.
I just take part in the brackets, I don't actually watch any of the games. Then again I don't watch TV so I'm not really missing anything.
Rooting for George Mason University; we are the "patriots" after all. I don't think my team will last very long though.
Think you know men's basketball? Well predict the winner of each matchup in this year's tournament and you could win $10,000 cash! It's free, so create your entry today!

Take the challenge if you aren't a liberal coward.
I'm in!! I was waiting for this thread
I played too, I played long enough to know most of the rules that are ignored today in pro ball.
The NCAA is a little better in observing the rules , but not much.
When James Naismith invented the game he didnt envision 7 foot players. The game was invented for us normal fellows.
yeah and he didn't envision shot clocks and 3 pointers either.
3 pointers can be a big problem if the team doesn't have discipline in when to take them. Iowa does, Ohio State doesn't, which is why Iowa won yesterday.
Shot clocks moved the game along. Sure some of the best teams would run up and down the courts, but you would also have those games where there were 5 or 6 possessions in an entire half, which kills you both in TV and in the crowd.
You know, I am only two yrs younger than you - but I am female. I played when us girls did not play the whole court. Remember that?
Yeah, the game has really changed. Remember in college ball when Dean Smith had his team hold the ball, and the scores were LOW? How it all has changed.
There was a problem:
You must have a team to join a private group. (Error #148)
Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
Hmm, I can't say I know what the problem is. Anyone else know how to solve this? Maybe you need to create a seperate team name before joining? Look around for that.
Go Aztecs!
My smack talks amounts to consulting ....
Cloud formations....yeah, that's the ticket....let's see, I like history, so that's why I came up with BC winning it (over Iowa 81 to 73).
I think you have to make your picks first, THEN join a group. That's how I did it.
