I just watched a show on 'Hogzilla' about a month or so ago.
He wasn't what he was claimed to be but he was still one really big pig.)

If they hadn't killed it, it would be in a zoo right now.
The guy who shot it made it sound like he was in life danger, unlikely with a pig that wouldn't even be able to run fast. Plus he stated the pig stood still.
Even dead Smithsonian would pay $$$ for it.
Shooting and burying it was not the brightest move you can do when enountering a supersized animal. Oh well.
