The first step is to get to know who you are and what makes you tick. Become self aware by asking yourself some hard questions about your life.
Also what helps is if you have overwhelming feelings of desperation, or depression, talking to a therapist is good, as long as you don't spend the rest of your life in therapy.

Well I do not know what to ask myself. There is nothing really remarkable about my life. I never hurt anyone. I will look into seeing one but are therapists covered under insurance?
