That is terrible, the poor thing. I hope someone comes and gets it at some point or another.
We have a neighbor who's pretty much abandoned his house, even though he owns it. It's a big yard and a two-story house. But his wife left him a few years ago, and he hasn't been the same since. He doesn't take care of the place. He only comes by every now and then. I'm not sure where he stays. He gets drunk all the time. Sometimes he hires landscaping people to clean his yard. I've seen his pool: it's been abandoned for years and is now more of a swamp.
It's legal to have a fire in your yard here because we live outside the city limits. He actually put on a fire in the burnspot in his yard last night and left it there. Drove off while it was burning.
Since his death on Saturday night, no one has been back to the house. And between me, you, and the lamppost, I can't believe someone could be so reckless as to use a BBQ grill in a house with small children. The whole family could have died.
