Save your breath...they'll never give up the idea that it's the same people going to the movie over and over again. It's one of my pet peeves here on FR. Some people here confuse disagreeing with someone or something into minimizing that someone or something. Just because you don't like an actor's politics, doesn't make him a bad actor, etc. It's dopey.
I think we just want them to shut up about politics and just act.
Yah, I know.
It's funny, I vote with almost no exceptions a straight Republican ticket, (the only time in the past 3 cycles I've voted for a D was when the R was literally a felon who got on the ballot because nobody else filed), have worked on the staff of Republican campaignes, am going to a Christian Graduate School etc.
Yet, I seem to be beaten up here for being too 'left' most of the time, mostly for things like this.
Oh well. SOMEBODY has to try to talk sense into the crazies or they'll start turning off the non-involved conservative voter.
Just as the fact that an actor having off the wall politics does not negate his acting ability,it is equally true that a film like Brokeback Mountain which promotes the gay agenda also happens to be a very WELL CRAFTED film.
I wish Hollywood would make more films of substance with Brokeback's sensibilities without hitting us over the head with the wonders of the gay lifestyle!
My list of celebrities I reject is growing fast. I will not support anything they do. It is ok to be anti-bush but being anti-American, favoring our enemies and protesting our troops will not be tolerated by me. I think my opinion is shared by millions of good American people.
