Here's something you may not have known: In "Jaws" the novel, and in the original screenplay, Richard Dreyfuss is supposed to be eaten in the shark cage scene while Quint is pulled under and drowned at the end. Brody is the only survivor.

Also, there's supposed to be an affair between Richard Dreyfuss and Lorraine Gary, Brody's wife. They wisely cut that out, too. Really, the book is a lot better than the movie.
