I don't talk much about what is going on in my life here...
I have been 'finishing' the main section of my basement. This was a 'to do' project but Jen moving here has bumped it tot he top of the list. Since her stuff will be moving here before she does then I need to get it done by May. I had studs up and a lot of the wire strung before the last smoochmoot (that name has total become entrenched for any kind of visit :P). So while she was here we got a bunch of drywall and screwed most of it up. Plus wired up the majority of the outlets. I am currently working on wiring up lights. After that I get to put drywall up on the ceiling and then start the oh-so-fun tape/mud/sand process. I hate chalk dust. I am pretty well on track to have it ready by the time her stuff moves in (and WAY before SHE moves in).
Currently my house is about 1100 livable squarefeet and this should add around 250 more. The NEXT big project will be to do the laundry area, moving the washer and dryer and turning all that into livable space for about another 180sqft. These will be nice rooms all though not 'to code' since I did not bother with any of that permit or inspection nonsense (shhhhh).

I don't know if I should be mad or flattered that they don't think we were busy the whole time hanging sheetrock and being mostly good. I mean, having part of the goody-two-shoes reputation go away is almost nice...
