I wish I had the guts to jump. What a beautiful, graceful sport.
Yeah but the black horse that just finished didn't seem that graceful too me. He looked like he was doing his job and the rider was behind in a few seconds. The white one was magical though. The horse seemed to "need" to jump and they were, I don't know... more a team IMO
You're right. The rider on the white horse was Margie Engle, she's awesome. And she's a tiny woman, makes the horse look even bigger.
That one was pretty too.
Well that crappy. It's really just about the rider isn't it? How can they win as a team when they switch horses?

Actually it wasn't raining...but it is lightening. My neighbor just stopped by, she said we could have tornados tonight...I hadn't heard that at all.

Johnny just wanted to go early to the races. I have school on the 5th, so he will probably go up early without me anyway. 4 days at the track is a little much for me. I'd rather visit with you and find him on Saturday.

I've been hearing and reading about the bill to track all of our critters (and getting emails from just about every horse person I know) for about a year now. I don't quite know how I'm going to handle it because I have no intention of participating. Our horses are moving constantly, to shows, endurance rides and just trail rides. I can not conceive having to get permission every time I turn around. And am I not supposed to go if I can't get an okay? And my horses - and my goats - are not meat animals, I see no reason to track them.
I know how that felt. Sarah Lee was balking and jumping back on me the other day.
Sigh - Sturday = Saturday.
I think he'll be fine in water too. :~D
