Seymour (my brand new fern) is resting comfortably in a bucket of water in my kitchen. He arrived in great condition with wood shavings still damp. :) I won't be able to plant him until Sturday but I think he'll be fine where he is.
I've been hearing and reading about the bill to track all of our critters (and getting emails from just about every horse person I know) for about a year now. I don't quite know how I'm going to handle it because I have no intention of participating. Our horses are moving constantly, to shows, endurance rides and just trail rides. I can not conceive having to get permission every time I turn around. And am I not supposed to go if I can't get an okay? And my horses - and my goats - are not meat animals, I see no reason to track them.
