The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

When one door closes the Lord opens another...... I would suggest starting your own business if you are a good speller. I won't be quiting my day job anytime soon. I got 7 pages of deficiencies back from the state today on my catalog. All sentence structure and grammar. I told them Kinko would clean it up for me but I guess they weren't amused:')

But darn it, we do stuff they like and enjoy just being with them. It wouldn't kill a guy to pretend to be happy, every once in awhile, would it? When mine starts with they, "what are we going to do, how long will it take routine, I would just rather leave him at home.
I went to a horse club meeting last month. I didn't ask him to go. Maybe that was the problem. He wanted to go. He sat there the whole time with a stoic expression, caressing his cell phone, like "someone call me. Get me out of here".

You wouldn't believe the drama around here... Mares in heat again. Lots of squealing and carrying on. Bay getting a lot of exercise because of it :~D

This went on over an hour without stopping!

I decided to let them out in the pasture to run off energy as long as they would.

It's Bay's moments like this when I wish I would have done some dressage on him... That is such a pretty frame.

He didn't seem to be hurting without his meds tonight :~D But I sure hope they come tomorrow.

What's funny is how MAD the pony gets. She thinks Bay's a complete moron, and hunkers down like she's gonna just back under him if he can't figure out what to do. He never has mounted her the way he did Cyn.... Yet anyway. I hope he doesn't... He's just too heavy for her. He just circles round and round her, nipping at her butt, nipping at her flanks. It's really very cute, but she just gets furious.
