The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Have you checked out the prices of health insurance for small businesses? I was looking at that awhile back and the rates were not that bad. It was alot cheaper that private coverage.

Back from riding, boy, it is soooooooooo humid. We're both just ringing wet. Only made it 2 hours, I didn't take water, thinking it was so bad. I could tell tho I needed to come in before I needed it.

I'd bet we will have some storms this evening, with all the humidity and heat, Clouds are already building.

Sounds sweltering :~]

I'm doing laundry as my major function in life today, though I want to go out and find something to mow later... I figure, if I mow ~something every day, I'm getting some exercise.

I think too, I'll open up the pasture and get them horses moving and their blood pumping a bit. Two are down flat in the sun, Bay's asleep on his feet, and they're bored. They may only get ridden once a week for now, but they should do a little bit more than just stand around and doze the other days. :~D

It is like a sauna.

I need to mow my pasture again, but not today. I've done enough today:) I making some coffee now, and going to sit down in my nice clean living room and watch a show I recorded last night, then it will be time to think about supper.

I can't believe people drink hot coffee when it's hot outside. It makes me sweaty just thinking about it. I want something cool to drink when it's hot outside.
