This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Been over making some more progress on Rosie's fence. Coming in for a break before building another corner. Still not a 100% and get kinda headachy and shaky out there workin.
Heh, I not even sick, and I'm done in today. I had JP all day, whew, he's gone home now, and I'm sitting for a few minutes before I have to cook.

If it's ok to post something about it, just let me know. Also, if you'd like me to send it to you first, tell me how to do so.
Thanks,
Anne
Did you remember to paint their umbilical cords with iodine?:')
Sure - posting stuff about NAIS here is fine... or if you post it to another thread, I'll ping the list to it. It's important for all of us to get up to speed on.

I know I said it last week, but I'll say it again this week.
Wow, great episode this week:)

Still an hour and a half out here!
~impatient~
Are these the fair fish? I thought Mom killed those.
Well, I'm going to give riding Rocky a try tomorrow. Julia called and wants to ride. She is happy going slow and riding for just a short time. That's about all I'd want to do on him right now with no shoes, and as long as it's been that he's been rode at all. I'm actually a bit interested to see how he does barefoot. I've been keeping an eye on the way he moves just loose in the pasture. When i first pulled his shoes he walked very cautiously, I think he's getting use to it now tho. He seems to move alot more freely. I think he'll still be pretty gimpy. I'm going to take him out barefoot, but if it really seems to bother him, next time I'll put my boots on him. I just want to see how he'll do tho.
