The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

It's cold and bitterly raw here. I rode anyway, even in light drizzle. I'm glad that I did, it was an awesome, awesome ride. I got him to stay round and on the bit and soften his jaw, and he didn't pop his shoulder as much.

I really think we are done with winter now. Just came in from feeding and Harley is suddenly shedding like crazy. EEWWWWW what a mess, hair blowing off him every step.

Tomorrow I may try to get him up and start curry combing him:)

I really dread it though because I'll just have to tough it out. I can't take codiene and anything much stronger than that too strong.

Pc Gaming. Hair told me the term. You bust the enemies/monsters in little bits of fragment, 'fraggin. I am not a big TV watcher, but like to game online. I play with people from all over the world.

Glad you feeling better, Hair.

I'm not supposed to take that either. Try goodies powders they worked wonders for my tooth pains when I had braces.

My son and DIL play on line - World of War or Warcraft or something like that. They keep trying to talk me into playing - they say they need a priest to heal them :)

I'll check it out. Eddie is out of town. I have Cody staying tonight. I have some work to do when he goes to sleep. I thought he was winding down but he was just charging his batteries.

To: CindyDawg; All

Morning.

Just marking my place here:) I was on a few other threads last night, and for the first time in forever this thread wasn't on my comments page:)

I was still bored:)

Weather here looks to be great today. I'm going to start the process of "hardening off" the trays of seedlings I've started. Setting them out side for so many hours and slowly increasing it thru the week. By the end of this week, I'm sure the risk of freezing temps will have passed.

I did lose my morning glory seedlings, but I've plenty more seeds so it's no big deal.

Becky

Those games can be so additive and a whole lot of fun. I play GUILD WARS. It is a RPG (role playing game), like World of Warcraft. With GW you don't have to pay a monthly fee. WOW you do. Tell your son and DIL this is a pre view weekend for the new release next month. They can try out the game without buying it. Details are in the link.

Morning yall
I'm taking the kids skating after church. My house needs some attention and I have a pile of paperwork to do but I think I'll just spend the rest of the afternoon at the stables. The other stuff not going anywhere.

Do you have herbs planted? Your space would be so perfect for a herb garden.
Herbs are so much fun to grow, and can be dried and used for cooking.

No, I've never tried herbs. Just flowers.

Do herbs flower? I really enjoy lots and lots of flowers, different colors textures, sizes, and shapes.

Not like regular flowers do, but mixing them among the flowers would give some nice contrast. The basil's have different colors, from dark purples to light greens. Herbs are pretty easy to grow, and that is a plus. The scents are what I like. Scented geraniums are what I like. Link

I was looking at an herb kit from Walmart the other day. The tiered pots would be pretty in the kitchen. I decided to think about it:')
