I don't know how many regular FReeoples are aware that the father of FReeper Chris in nj was a passenger on United Flight 93. Recently Chris, his mother along with family members and friends of other passengers were guests of President and Mrs Bush at the White House for a private screening of the film. He has posted a thread with photos and his comments about the evening.
FR ThreadChris, thank you so very much for sharing this very personal experience with all of us. May God bless you and your mother.

Are the girls out of school for the summer ? Not yet .. they have finals next week .. and I've been getting on their case about studying because after the easter break they were slacking and not doing good on their tests
Dana mostly because this year she some how manages to keep forgetting her books
Jess tried that also we she was in 5th grade .. so I started buying a 2nd set of books for at home so she couldn't use that lame excuse
I guess I'm going have to do that with Dana next year also

Sorry guys I have been busy the last three days and haven't had a chance to post anything as I have been out and about working like a dawg. I have just got back from the Residencia (old people's home), taking some pictures of their fiesta of dancing and music.
The music was played by a Banda de Gaitas. Giatas are the traditional Galician bagpipes which ties it to its Celtic heritage, and the children dance the Muniera that is akin to the Gaelic jigs.
All the old people would remember having learned these dances as children now they can watch to bring back memories of the folk music of their culture.
I believe the bagpipe came from the Phoenician sailors who used it as their fog horn and early warn radar to listen for the echo from the unseen cliffs. They later went to Ireland and Scotland. Who were also were brought in contact with their primitive music making and dances.
