Roethlisberger admits: 'I don't think I got in'
"I told Coach, 'I don't think I got in,'" Roethlisberger told Letterman. "But we were getting ready to go for it on fourth down anyway, and I would have run it again. So we would have found a way to get in."
OK does that settle it. The guy carrying the damn ball said he didn't get in....
Can somebody photoshop a PeaSquawks uniform onto this guy?
This is just like the damn Democrats and the 2000 election. Who'd have thought that Seattle was this bad? Why the hell don't you all move to Canada?
I know somebody that knows people in the NFL. He claims that there is one team that is famous for its Mafia connections. He also claims that nobody will ever do anything to clean up the game. Did you see ever dropped passes and wonder 'what the h!ll is going on?' Might it just be possible that some players just got a little richer in their Swiss bank accounts? Ca Ching, Ca Ching. That is one reason why I do not watch professional football anymore. But I love college football.
The only real debate should be whether or not the consistently awful penalty-calling against Seattle was the result of bias or if it was simply amazing coincidence. The folks that think the Seahawks lost solely because of bad play either didn't watch the game or are morons (and those Steelers fans that say they wouldn't be complaining like this if the tables were turned are just dishonest).
I don't believe the NFL is "fixed" but something was certainly broken with the officials and not just in the Super Bowl, the whole playoffs were horrible.
I don't think the refs were "pulling for the steelers" but of eight questionable calls 7 went against Seattle and at crucial times. It seemed as if every time the Seahawks did manage to pull their heads out of their rectums and play good football for a few minutes, the refs "found something" to call.
Get a real life!
When I see folding chairs whacked over the opposing player's heads as the referee is distracted with his head under the replay hood, then.... and only then, will I consider signing any petition.
The officiating was bad and the Seahawks took the brunt of the bad calls but for Pete's sake, get over it. The game is over. Both teams played like crap and the Steelers won because they didn't play quite as crappy as the Seahawks. We'll line it up again in the fall and do it all over again.
In the meantime,
11 days, 5 hours and 22 minutes...
The only thing more useless than a web poll is an "online petition".
LOL
I gotta give it too you.
This petition has garnered some great attention....
From Heath Ledger promoting his movie to Mike Holmgren asking where his wife is too people cracking on PIttsburgh for marrying their sisters...
LOL
REALLY relevant there.
About time.
