Parhump isn't THAT bad...lol.

I recall when he drove a GEO? (small, inexpensive car). Diana had one before she married Chas.

He seems to be learning that time can heal a tiny bit. Each day gets a little better. I bet his cats can bring a little smile out.

I heard he was going to be back on, but then figured it might trigger me quite a bit. So I decided to pass. All I can do is send him my prayers and best wishes.

Maybe he will use this on his show to try to uncover more about the meaning of life.

I haven't found it yet.

Poor thing, learning how to use his credit cards and dishwashers... Well, that will keep him busy.

He's cleaning. I didn't want to clean. I wanted to "preserve" fingerprints etc.

I forgot he had a son. Both Art and his son really have gone through some terrible situations in life.

That's how my mom was. She wanted his stuff left alone.

That sounds mean. Did I miss something from the show?

No, he was saying it's all new to him and he's looking for things to do to stay busy.

Got it.

Sorry -- this is clearly a sensitive area for many.

I hope he doesn't get seduced into doing shows with Sylvia Brown and others who "talk to the dead."

My grandmother kept busy after my grandfather died in 1984. She would plant a garden in the spring, tend to it all summer, and do alot of travelling in the winter.

Oh, no! I was just commisserating with him completely. I didn't mean it in a mean way. She took such care of him that he is at a loss to use the objects in his life after 15 years of her doing it all. SO he is bravely learning how. Indeed, that can help keep him busy - I didn't mean that in a bad way. Busy work is good for him now.

GOOD for her. Keeping busy is part of the process.

Talking about the deceased is another.

He referred to himself as a "social cripple". Ramona managed the finanaces, as well as all the other jobs like cleaning, washing clothes getting groceries, etc. I had to laugh when he said the first time he went to get groceries after she passed on, he always would get after Ramona for dropping her keys at the door as she fumbled with the bags of groceries. He did it too, looked up at the sky, chuckled and said "have a good laugh".

She still thinks of him, but she thinks of all the good times us kids all had with them on the weekends. She even told me one day that I kind of remind her of him.
