Elliot should probably start worrying. People with good voices(even very good voices) but without the proper type of style seem to be at risk. I thought it would be Will and Bucky gone tonight, but I did like Bucky a little more last night than I have in the past. Gedeon losing surprised me. Kevin isn't untalented but he's getting a big sympathy vote, IMHO.
Expected Kinnik to get booted off this week. I thought Ayla might, too. Don't think Ayla would be leaving if she'd picked a better song.
Frankly most of them could use a style upgrade. Ace, Chris, Elliott, Bucky and Kevin all dress like slobs and the women have been rather frumpy in their appearance. They had to dispel the rumor that McPhee was pregnant based on what she wore the week before and Paris really needs an image consult with her stagewear. I know it's a singing contest but would it be too much to ask that they not show up dressed like a rehersal? It might help with their overall stage presence.
I don't know about that. It was beginning to come across that Idol was just one item on a very long resume.
She's overall one of the most accomplished and hard-working contestants they've ever had. But, I think lots of people vote for someone who might be slinging hamburgers or whatever if it weren't for Idol.
Notice her speech? It wasn't about the opportunity to meet varied and wonderful people, or gratitude for this thrilling experience. It was pretty much about her and her feelings.
Don't worry about Elliott. He will get a makeover before next week's show. They will do his hair up with mousse, then comb it with an eggbeater. Voila! Clay Aiken image.
Or, they'll plaster his arms with fake tattoos, shave his head, and dress him in a tee-shirt with the flames of Hell and death skulls on it. Then he'll upstage Chris.
