Ok which one was Melissa? The blond right?

Thanks for the thread, S_J. Had to go to a neighborhood function tonight and couldn't see the performances, but feel like I know exactly what happened. Am glad I didn't really miss anything.
Glad that Ayla did well. Don't really care about any of the other girls. They bore me this season. The guys, though are a different story. Wild horses couldn't drag me away from the TV tomorrow night.
Good night, and thank you all for the commentary on tonight's show.

Hi Jonny. Don't know if you're still online. I just got home a few minutes ago. I have the TV on in the other room while I'm typing this. I can hear what they are singing, but am not seeing their performances. Who was the first female performer? McPhee? I like that song, but she did a TERRIBLE rendition of it. She over-sang it, and her voice got very nasal and thin toward the middle and end of the song. There is no warmth in her voice.
Based on the judges' comments, however, it's clear they are pimping for her.

This is Melissa.

Were you thinking of Heather? (She was one of my worst picks--her and Brenna)

I'm still here--barely :)

Yeah. She was the biggest disappointment of the night. Paula REALLY played the "you're a star" thing too much with her. She just wasn't good tonight.

That would be Kinnik :) You have to see it to fully appreciate it. And watch out for that last note: "Here for the PAAARATTATTATTAY!" LOL

Well, I have to sign off now. Listen to the judges' comments about Brenna. They make it clear that she doesn't belong in the competition (I think they want to get rid of her more than we do :)
Good night, Wolfstar. Talk to you tomorrow :)

Good night, Jonny, Sleep tight. Whoever's singing now would knock out a buffalo, she's that bad. ;-)

Hopefully you'll find this post sometime tomorrow. Just listening to the girls from one room away without watching them, I figured out what the problem is with them tonight. Almost all of them are singing ballads for big voices. Some are doing OK, some not, but none of them stand out. And none of them have a (or have demonstrated so far) a big enough voice for the songs they selected. Just going by voices, I don't know who's who, except for one -- Paris.
My ear happened to catch Seacrest going to commercial at one point and just before the break he said something like "next...Paris." Talking about trying to clue the audience in that THIS IS ONE TO VOTE FOR. Sheesh! But her performance was so-so, and the judges criticized her for singing "too old" a song.
Kellie Pickler just sang and sounded awful. Flat and dull. Paula and Randy liked it. Simon blabbed on about how cute she is, but told the near truth about the performance. He said if he just heard it without seeing her, he would said it wasn't the best vocal. Well, it was awful.

That wasn't me, but I've thought about what I'd say if I met her. Not surprisingly, it has been put into song.
(reprise) DFU SONG: I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song (Hillary, I loathe you)

This woman must be stopped. The two greatest dangers to this great republic are Islamist terrorists and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
========================================================
MIDI - I'LL HAVE TO SAY I LOVE YOU IN A SONG
I once went to an event
Hillary, to meet you
I knew what Id say if I
had the chance to greet you
But the Secret Service told me I must move along
So Ill tell you that I loathe you in a song
Id express it as I did in each note and e-mail
That youre really not much like any other female
But the Secret Service told me I must move along
So Ill tell you that I loathe you in a song
Id be asking why youve done many things unlawful
All the research is complete
you are really awful
But the Secret Service told me I must move along
So Ill tell you that I loathe you in a song
I know why youre not the one
that your husbands humping
Were you mine its from a bridge that I would be jumping
But the Secret Service told me I must move along
So Ill tell you that I loathe you in a song
So Ill tell you that I loathe you in a song

Can we start a "Things that tickled Pickler in LA" theme?
I'll go first:
"Wow, y'all have stoplights and all" lol...oooh oooh, I wanna play!
"I couldn't believe all the free food lying around on the roads! Squirrels, possums and all kinds of other critters and nobody was picking 'em up for stew!"
