I didn't like the first male performer, there was something creepy about him. Like you'd see him ducking into an alley to do dirty deeds.

I thought Taylor did it justice. I would have voted for him, but couldn't get thru.

Hopefully, that's a good sign :)

How cool...I never got to see them in concert....my mother would never let me go no matter who was playing and that was in the 60's long before any of this nonsense started at concerts.....my whole bedroom was decorated with Beatle posters...I wish I had kept them...LOL....those were the good old days....hehehe

Ya see--you're one of us now!

Hi Jonny. LOL! Not quite all the way there yet, but at least he's in my top six.

I'll be flipping back and forth between both shows. You know Idol is going to save the eliminations until the very end :-/

I wasn't too thrilled with his song choice--I'd much rather hear him sing the Blues, but I'm glad he made your list :)

My elimination picks for tonight are Bobby, Brenna, Patrick (because he was so forgettable) and maybe Stevie.

BTW, what did you think of Ace?

1. Very good looking.

2. Very good looking, killer smile.

3. A good, but not spectacular voice.

4. Too obviously nervous to be considered a good performer, but has potential. He's sort of a male Carrie in the sense that he's probably the best-looking guy who ever made it this far on AI, but he's not the most charismatic performer.

5. Looks offset by the grunge style WHICH I HATE!!!!

6. I don't think he's a natural sleeze like Constantine. Ryan egged Ace on to do a look into the camera.

7. Did I mention killer smile? ;-)

The forgettable vs. unforgettable, this is really what it's all about. Think of all the greats who didn't necessary have strong voices or stunning looks: Fred Astaire, to Frank Sinatra, to Arlo Guthrie, to Rod Stewart, etc. What's most important is that indefinable gift they have for drawing an audience into the songs they sing; of making an audience feel the song.

It's what I felt -- still feel -- was missing from Carrie last year. One person this year definitely has that gift (a few others may, but may not have fully developed it yet). That one person is Taylor.

I'm not sure about that, but then I'm not a great judge of who is or isn't. Let's just say if Ace is, it's not obvious to me. I think he's not a naturally outgoing personality and has stage fright.

Even if he is straight as can be, he doesn't have enough testosterone to appeal to me.
