for Tammy
But I like your useless information and now I can't get the song out of my brain. It keeps going and going. I'm a geek and am proud to admit it. :)
Ugh. Agreed. Did you see or read that interview Simon gave recently in which he said he was bored last year because he knew right from the first that Carrie would win? He also said he thought there are -- I forget the number he gave -- seven or eight people this year who could win. We'll see.
I have no idea. I imagine they have a way of doing it.
I agree with your ranking. :)
:)
I would love to see the winner be a guy this time around. The runner-up seems to always end up with a pretty solid career too, so Katharine would still do well.
Jonny, I treated myself to some new speakers for my PC. Not expensive ones, but good ones with a really good subwoofer. I'm now listening to a really great guitar jam by Roy Orbison and others who were on the old PBS special with him before his death -- Roy Orbison in Black and White. Great rock music. Has me rocking while I type this. After this, the been-there-done-that girls of AI will pale in comparison.
I LOVE Roy Orbison! So unique. Another fave of mine is Johnny Cash. Still haven't seen Walk the LIne. A little afraid to.
Your rankings are spot on.
I think the crop is stronger this year than last. But anything can happen.
LOL--she does!
Maybe not, but I don't think they are going to give her bad reviews. They never did with Fantasia. And there were times she deserved them! :) Sometimes I just wonder if they don't send out talent scouts to some of the pagents and talent shows and coax some to try out. I know my tin foil is showing. :)
I think I've seen that--is it the one with Bruce Sprinsteen?
I agree. You and I must have similar tastes in music. I love great guitar playing and the earthy old-style rock.
Walk The Line comes out on DVD next Tuesday, BTW :)
ohh Sasha!! hehe
I think we do have similar tastes. :) Oh well great minds and all. I like to make my own CD's and have one with Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and Lynnard Skynnard. It's one of my favorites. That is one reason I liked Bo so much. He has potential. I love old rock and jazz and blues. But I can also listen to Sinatra, etc. Just depends on my mood. I am not much of a country music fan.
