Taylor is definitely a trip. Looked to me last night like Randy was starting to say something negative about Taylor's motion, but Taylor short-circuited Randy and made it look like Randy was going in another direction with his comment, left him struggling for words. Also thought it was funny when Simon said something about Taylor killing music videos with that performance, and Taylor was like "Yeah!"

Taylor Hicks is infecteous. Look what he's done to Ryan, he's made him an imitator with that spastic move of his. I was almost worried that Ryan would fall to the floor.

Taylor might look 40 with his gray hair, but at heart, he's really 14. Did you see the hand gestures he made behind Ryan Seacrest’s head during the show’s introduction ? So childish !!

Also, his regular shoutout to the SOUL PATROL is a signal to his legions of internet fans to vote for him.

At this point in time, he's likely the highest vote-getter on American Idol -- MALE or FEMALE.

He was a major force in music during the 70's and 80's. I don't really like his stuff but I see the talent there. This show has a tendancy to promote a specific artist as a theme.

Teeth bugs me for some reason. It may be the teeth, but it is creepy facial expressions. Elliot doesn't impress me at all.
This is American Idol....Ace has the hot looks factor....but my faves are Hicks & Mandisa.

They didn't do it last year, and I wish they would have. I like a lot of Stevie Wonder's songs. It's just too bad that Stevie can't 'see' Taylor as he performs one of his.

Several posts on the 'Idol' site reference a story from the producer of 'Idol' (Nigel?) that we will be "shocked at one of the girls" who gets whacked tonight. Story may have been in LA Times, but no one has found it yet. Anyone else hear this?
