I've been getting better and better as I keep doing it. Some caricatures (Saddam, Kennedy, Jacques Chirac) are easy, others (George Clooney) are nearly impossible.
It takes a keen eye to get that stuff right; I'm off to bed. Have a good night!

Everyone is avoiding saying/spelling the jerk's name!!!! Including me!!! Aminadejebaba? Aminedejaberwocky? Whatever. I understand he's worse than an MSM type here in the States; he's a -- are you sitting down? -- an Iranian ex-academic!!! Ho, HO. Must be some kind of power trip that draws people into urinalism and academentia- global attractants to these types.
Your Tubby Kennedy toon was perfect. Just perfection. You really nailed him. BRAVO.
And the D'r toon was cute. Re drawing a "hot babe"- is that difficult? I dunno. Would've thought just big boobs, big lips, straight legs, and very long hair would do it, but then we're talking, basically, a Barbie doll/Betty/Veronica. Then again, what do I know? I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to draw a handsome guy, but it sure as heck wouldn't look like a Kennedy/Biden/Kedwards, even though they act like JFK-wannabees- and FWIW, JFK looked like a cross between Alfred E. Newman and Ted Koppel. See? I can't tell the difference.
Great work you're doing. There's a definite "shine" to certain toons- maybe the one's you're most passionate about? Maybe the one's you are able to "dash off" quicker than the others? Or just the opposite? This T Kennedy toon is a shiner, like the Belafonte/Chavez one. Really good. I suspect you're RAPIDLY getting better at this- it shows.
I guess since you are a girl and all, it wouldn't be too hard. Funny, I hadn't have too much trouble talking to guys.
I usually didn't try to skip, but I did a few times. Once, I just hid in the teacher's bathroom the whole period (no one ever went in there; it was perfect). Then I snuck outside, went down to the river behind the school, and walked around the woods. I ran into some rednecks hiding underneath a bridge, and they yelled at me. I never saw who they were, but one of them said he had a class with me and knew my name.
I tried to skip a second time later that year but got caught, fortunately by a nice teacher who just took me to class and made up an excuse for me for my period teacher. I didn't get in trouble.
He has a last name that intimidates even me (and my name is Cottraux). I thought about labeling him President Anasanapecahnascram once. If he's an ex-academic, I would say then that schools in Iran are even worse than public schools in America.
The attractive woman thing is harder than you'd think. It's not just about all the features, it's that they have to be PERFECT. You need the face to be shaped just right, and the mouth/lips just the right size in just the right position; the nose needs to be small but not too small, and the eyes big but not too big and with eyelashes dark but not too dark. And that's just the face. It involves a lot of erasing and frustration.
I guess you're right about the shining stuff. Some toons I just crank out to meet my schedule, and others I put a lot of passionate work into. Kennedy has infuriated me with his handling of the Samuel Alito nomination: I can't BELIEVE he's still a Senator if he's going to act like that.
