And the tone does not lend itself to demonstrative people. The fact is that there is no humor in the show. None. Well, there might be some inside jokes (Did you catch the CTU red shirts -- think Star Trek -- this season?) but otherwise the tone is deadly serious.
Except in the case of Chloe. She can make me snicker with her sarcasm or just plain laugh. Chloe is an EXCELLENT character and very well rounded. Her statement to Jack last year about if he needs someone to talk to was just hilarious. I loved it!
I caught the red shirt. Very funny stuff.

Chloe: "I was inappropriately blunt, wasn't I?"
Jack: "The only reason you're conscious right now is because I don't want to carry you"
Chloe: "Relax, he's really good at this."
