How about for the ENTIRE season? Anyone up for a '24' death pool? How many get whacked over the course of the entire season? Verifiable whackings only...mass whackings like a city being nuked/gassed or whatever, don't count, UNLESS '24's FNC broadcast gives us a death toll. :-)
Thank you!! :)
It was 24's intent that he be killed but Kiefer said in the Charlie Rose interview that FOX wouldn't allow a fatal attack on Air Force One on TV.
I decided to skip my usual "top 10 complaints" about the show for last night. But high on my list would have been how Jack, rushing to the rescue of Chloe, steals a chopper. While en-route on the chopper, he calls the mother and tells her to drive to LA. Now, I don't know where they were before (I thought he was supposed to be in Mexico, but I guess they were somewhere in the U.S.) but she manages to get into her car, and drive all the way to LA, and get's there within an hour or so of when he arrived.
I'd have to check the exact timeline which I can't do because I didn't tape the show, but it seems absurd that she can drive all the way to LA that quickly, when it took Jack more than 15 minutes by helicopter.
It is clear you have to ignore the time-to-travel in this show. Except once in a while, like last year when Chloe had to shoot the bad guy, it suddenly becomes critical to the plot (in that show it seemed Chloe got from CTU to a house, and got inside, and was talking to the people, and then got attacked, and called CTU, in LESS time than CTU said it would take to then send ANYBODY to the same location to save her, either from CTU or from the local police department.
You got that right. Kiefer still attends rodeos as a spectator. He only sold his ranch because his feed crop was wiped out by rain. Of course, if he hadn't, we might not have 24!
Third, who is Jack without an albatross?!
Speaking of 24's FNC show, anybody catch the scrolling text on the news shows during the show? Seemed a bit generic, the few I could see, but I didn't tape it so I was wondering if anything interesting was hidden there...
Please add me to the ping list as this is my favorite show!
Want to see if they put Chloe into the interrogation room and give her the "full" treatment! Should be some great
one liners in that interview, lol.
agreed
Jack and his new chick were in the Mojave. Not sure about geography, but it seems reasonable that Jack could get there in a chopper in 15 min. and she would take an hour to drive.
Heh, same thing happened to us, though I think it was only the last five minutes. I wonder how many other folks set their timers for 8-10 and got messed over because the stupid football game ran long!
Palmer was the Democrat President they wish they had. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any more 'Scoop Jackson' Democrats.
There's an easy solution to this folks... set the TiVO to record the show AFTER 24 as well!
Jack wasn't in Mexico, he was in Mojave CA, which I guess is not too far from LA. When he calls the kid's mother, she was enroute to LA, but wasn't there yet. The airport to which he directed her was the Ontario airport, about 30 miles East of LA.
FWIW, it has been a Godsend. Last week for example it took me 3 nights to watch all of last Monday's "Surface". I kept falling asleep 15 minutes into the program..........
Yeah, well, I didn't know there was a football game on before the show. We aren't sports fans.
We have a DISH network DVR, but I haven't a clue how the thing works. Our daughter is the designated recorder in the family, but she's going off to college in the fall so I'm gonna have to learn how to do it!
The times were screwed up right off the bat. Palmer was shot about 5-7 minutes (or less) into the show, but by minute 12 or 15, EVERYONE (including Fox News) knew about it and knew he was dead. Hell, it took them 30 minutes (after Parkland arrival) to pronouce Kennedy dead even though a quarter of his head was gone.
Media wasn't instantaneous in 1963.
