What happens to Heller in the previews? I didn't see anything it goes too fast for me.
There are some republicans that seem just as duplicitous as the characters in the show......McCain for instance. :)

Logan was the VP of the guy who beat Palmer in a subsequent primary.
This is what I don't understand. He could have shot Audrey, which would have kept Jack off him. Either Hendersen really might have a heart, or he's just a sadistic piece of trash who is toying with Jack.
Palmer's not dead.
I also found it interesting that Logan brings the Chinese into the equation.

how about Trent Lott??? I consider him to be very slippery and largely of no positive account.
What he did was create a pressing need for Jack to actually have to rescue Audrey. That was the way to get Jack to give the tape and attend to Audrey, effectively allowing him to get the tape and get Jack sidetracked. There was no "heart" in it. Just cold logic and a sizing up of what Jack would do.
Well the creator/producer of this show (Joel Surnow) is an "out" conservative, so I don't think it was an attack on Bush or whatnot.
Audrey is pretty cool this year. It's nice that she isn't crying every week. They must have had a big stash of onions on set for her last year. Hehe.
