Glenn Beck always talks about it on his morning show.

Last year they'd run a webcast after each show, at 10 PM.

It was really fun, don't know if they'll do that this year.

I NEVER used to watch network TV regularly (although I followed JAG for awhile.)

24 hooked me, as did Alias (at first, lately, I'm not watching as religiously, LOL), but I also got hooked on LOST (not as action packed, but clever writing and flashbacks into the characters lives...and the flashbacks always surprise me because I think I've figured out the character, but am usually wrong.)

*If Bauer can get shot in the neck and live, why cant President Palmer? We never saw the face under the blanket, so how do we know it was him, and that they didn't replace his body to make the world think he was dead, like they did with Jack, to protect him from the Chinese?

My pukin prediction?

When all seems lost, President Palmer saves Jack Bauer. I don't think he is really dead. I Tivo'd the show and watched it twice, looking for clues.

I have one word to say about last night's first two episodes: HOLYF&$KINGSH!T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spoilers, if you want to read it, highlight the space after:

When Palmer got shot within the first three minutes of the show, then when Tony and Michelle got hit with the car bomb, The Girlfriend and I were speechless. When the bomb went off, the only thing we did was gasp, scaring the crap out of our new puppy. The entire thing was unreal!!!

I heard Keifer say that "Jack is pissed." Seriously, I don't think he's ever been "pissed" before in the previous seasons, except maybe right after Terri died, but that was the end of the season. With Michelle and Palmer dead, and Tony slowly getting there, I'm thinking Jack will be more unpredictable, more out of control, and the body count for the baddies will be MUCH higher!

Ok, back. It amazes me how the writers of this show can raise the bar every single year. I'm one of those who says, "There's no way they can raise it past what happened last season." Every time I am pleasantly wrong. CANNOT WAIT for tonight!!!!

24 has definitely been added to my 'have to watch' list. 'Lost' is the only other one I will schedule myself around to watch. I recently started watching re-runs of 'Monk' and I like that, too, along with the original 'CSI' but if I miss them I don't have a stroke about it like I would with 'Lost'. Up until about a year ago I almost never watched TV, now I'm a damned junkie.

Dancing with Stars is on Thursday night for an hour and then the results and a short recap is on Friday nights for a half hour (although last Friday's was an hour, despite was the tv guide said). LOL

Maybe I should read the instructions that came with the converter.....

I don't even know what a converter is. Good luck with that.

BTW who plays Jack's new squeeze?

Connie Britton. She was on Spin City and The West Wing before this.

Fortunately I now have Comcast DVR.

I do too ...just got it.

For some reason it didn't record. Imagine how disappointed I was when I got home and it was missing.

Gonna call Comcast today to see if they can figure out what happened

It amazes me how the writers of this show can raise the bar every single year.

To their credit, the folks at 24 brought in thriller writer Vince Flynn to help build this year's story line. New blood :)

And Jack Bauer used the alias "Frank Flynn" last night--the "Flynn" was borrowed from Vince.

Hard to watch Alias anymore now that they moved it to different days and then stopped airing it altogether.

It's the number one reason I stop watching shows -- when they move them to new nights. I don't need to watch TV, so it's a good thing.

I even stopped watching 24 in year 3 because after a couple of episodes it just seemed the same as always, and a little too unbelievable.

Season 4 get me hooked again, because of the 4-hours in 2-nights trick. After watching the 1st 4 hours I was hooked, and it was easy to do that because they were all on together while it was fresh in my mind.
