I've heard Rush talk about going into a cigar room with the guys from "24" and having a blast so even if Keifer is a Democrat, he's not radical.

Makes it even more scary....watching this show...you have the immediate "fear" of what is happening on the screen...

but, then, during commercials, you start thinking about "real life"...and what if there are people in Bush's White House just as dastardly as the guy in this show??

Hi :) I was only half-right. I thought it would be Palmer and his brother that got whacked. Oh well. I'm not grieving for Michelle though :)

The only time politics was brought into the series was in the first season when Palmer was identified as a Dem. Since then, no one's party affliation has been named. But since, Palmer bowed out of the pres. race in season 3, we deduced that President Keeler (and now President Logan) are Republicans. But that's as far as politics goes.

Unfortunately, Kiefers Grandfather is Tommy Douglas, the father of socialism in Canada. He has campaigned in Canada for socialized medicine. Kiefer is Canadian.

I don't think Keifer is a radical...he may not even be a rat....he tried and succeeded to steer Rose away from politics.....his father on the other hand is a raving rat...Keifer kept his views pretty much close to his chest...

My employer makes me take a government terrorism awareness training every year. It has me take a trip to Los Angelos on business, where a package is placed under my car, a pretty woman tries to make nice with me, and when I smartly do the right thing a terrorist breaks into my room and holds me hostage until the police come and I am supposed to be rescued.

I told my boss I wasn't going to travel anymore if I was going to be attacked without even leaving the country.
